So you want to learn yoga in the privacy of your own home AND/OR there are no yoga studios in your area!
You have come to the right place, my friend.
Scroll down for the motherlode of how to yoga YouTube goodies.
The good ole’ internet has made the yogi life a ton more accessible, but there are so many resources out there, how do you know which one is right for you?
I have your back on this one and am going to highlight quality how to yoga YouTube videos that you can get started with pronto!
Before you do, I would also like to give you the option of not messing around with YouTube yoga videos at all.
There is some really high quality yoga instruction on YouTube, that is a fact, and I used this exclusively for awhile until I realized how much time I was wasting searching for high quality videos and instruction.
It felt like I would be all ready to roll and go get that yoga high, but then I would waste so much time trying to find a video that I liked, that was the right length, and that was high quality that it killed my yoga buzz altogether.
I signed up with YogaDownload and I have never gotten partway into a yoga video only to realize that I wasn’t into it and then have to start all over finding a new one like I did sometimes with YouTube.
The instructors are all vetted and world-class yogis offering the highest qualities of classes which are never run-of-the-mill or boring and I have learned A TON.
If you would rather not waste time messing around with YouTube, check out YogaDownload and their super-affordable subscription options.

There is no way that I can write about how to yoga youtube style videos and NOT mention Yoga with Adriene.
She has become a YouTube yoga sensation, and it is for obvious reasons.
Adriene puts out a high-quality video, is a skilled teacher, and has a very warm and friendly personality. Plus, she is a great communicator.
On top of that, her channel features yoga practices for EVERY situation, time frame, mood, or ailment!
Exhibit A: Yoga for Loneliness. This is one I never even would’ve dreamt up, but dangit, who wouldn’t need yoga for loneliness right now???
Check out the Yoga with Adriene channel.
Best for yoga beginners…
When new to yoga, it is important that you find a slower practice that accounts for the fact that you may not know the poses and need a few more seconds to find the right alignments.
If this sounds right for you, the SarahBethYoga channel is right for you!
She also has a variety of practices and flows available and videos like the 15 Minute Full Body Morning Flow below offer a great flow that is the right tempo for beginners.
Check out the SarahBethYoga channel!
Good for intermediate yogis…
Maybe you are a little more seasoned in your practice and looking for a challenge!
If this is you, the Boho Beautiful yoga YouTube channel is worth a look!

Best for self-love…
This is one of my favorites, and it isn’t just because they have quality yoga classes (which they do) but because it gives off rich and glorious vibes.
Yes, I make decisions based on vibes. I am a Sagittarius, after all.
The Body Positive Yoga channel contains tons of yoga practices modified to be accessible to more folks than your average yoga YouTube video, but they also feature insightful and sometimes groundbreaking dharma talks from uber-smart women on topics from self-love to feminism.
Go for the yoga, stay for the wisdom.

Good for chakra work…
So you’re looking to unstick some of you chakras?
She offers practices aimed at unblocking many specific chakras, but also yoga flows to clear out your full system.

If you are looking for yoga plus a buuuurn, look no further than the Sean Vigue Fitness channel!
This guy offers a huge variety of killer yoga practices incorporating yoga and pilates.
He is also quite energetic, which feels refreshing for a power yoga class.

I LOVE a good challenge, and sometimes you need to push yourself within a predetermined length of time so that you don’t sabotage yourself mentally.
The Yoga With Tim YouTube yoga channel offers 7 day and 30 day yoga challenges whether you need to get started, or you need a boost in your practice!
The 7 Day Foundations Series focuses on alignment and is perfect for beginners or seasoned yogis who want a tune-up.

Best for stretch and relaxation…
If you are looking for a slower practice with deep, relaxing stretches, give yin yoga a try with The Yoga Ranger Studio with Aprille Walker.
Yin yoga aims to break up adhesions in connective tissue, allowing you to move more freely and with less pain.
The Yoga Ranger Studio with Aprille Walker channel has designed yin practices to increase mobility but also combines it with added benefits such as stress reduction or self-love.

Best for yoga nidra…
If you have never tried yoga nidra: You. Are. Missing. Out.
It is also called a “yoga nap,” but it isn’t just sleeping on a yoga mat (ok, sometimes it is).
Yoga nidra intends to take your physical body and consciousness to sleep while keeping your unconscious awake and engaged.
This brings incredible relaxation, stress reduction, and depending on the type of meditation or music playing, emotional healing at the unconscious level.
All this while you get to lie still in a state of bliss.
The Melissa West yoga YouTube channel offers an entire playlist of yoga nidra practices.
I suggest heading there NOW and get your yoga nidra on!
Check out the Melissa West, who also has a ton of great how to yoga YouTube videos to choose from.
Best Kundalini Yoga…
According to Gaia, “Kundalini yoga is a blend of Bhakti yoga (the yogic practice of devotion and chanting), Raja yoga (the practice of mediation/mental and physical control) and Shakti yoga, (for the expression of power and energy).”
This combination of movement, breathing and chanting intends to drive energy up through your spine bringing you greater awareness, creativity, vitality, and possibly a Kundalini Awakening, realizing your life’s purpose.
It truly is an experience like no other.

Best Chair Yoga…
This one took me awhile to dig out as I would find a few channels that had a couple of videos dedicated to chair yoga, but not much to choose from.
Variety is the spice of life, people.
I started to get discouraged when I finally came upon the Chair Yoga w/Ericka : CYWE channel. Eureka, I struck gold!!
She offers an incredible variety of chair yoga practices with videos specifically targeting the hips, neck, back, shoulders, and even feet, to name a few.
They are high quality and she is fantastic.

I hope you had fun visiting these quality channels for some how to yoga YouTube goodness.
